London Walks Part 1 Wednesday 9 January 2002
The Old Operating Theatre
It's estimated that since 11 September nearly 1 million Britons have cancelled their holidays abroad and will spend them here in the United Kingdom. So if you're one of those planning to stay at home, and intend to visit London, Time Out has issued a book of London Walks.

A number of prominent writers have been asked to trace a historical tour of their favourite parts of the city. Rabbi Julia Neuberger is the Chief Executive of the King's Fund, an organisation originally set up by Edward VII to support the voluntary hospitals of London's poor.
In the first of a series on London walks, Rabbi Neuberger takes Jennifer Chevalier on a tour of London's medical history. They begin with the comparatively modern Guy's Hospital built in the eighteenth century by the merchant Thomas Guy.
Time Out - London Walks, volume 2, edited by Andrew White, published by Penguin ISBN 0-14-100353-7, 拢11.99
