Dyspraxia , which used to be called Clumsy Child Syndrome, is estimated to affect one in 12 children.
Dyspraxic children find it hard to co-ordinate, appear clumsy and often have difficulties with memory.
The number of children affected is rising. So is this due to new methods of parenting or is it simply that doctors are better trained now to spot it?
Sheila is joined by Dr Amanda Kirby, Clinical Director of the Dyscovery Centre in Cardiff and Kim Hobson, Sussex Co-ordinator of the Dyspraxia Foundation and mother of 13 year old Jake, who has dyspraxia, to find out what parents of dyspraxic children can do to help them.
