It's the perpetual complaint made by every generation:

"In my day I wouldn't be allowed out wearing that, and little girls were little girls."
These days manicures and pedicures, make-up and high fashion seem to be aimed at a younger and younger age group - in fact one high street store says it cater for girls aged from 4 to 40.
So are today's fashion conscious girls growing up too quickly and becoming women before their time? Or is it all just a natural and necessary part of growing up.
Celia Duncan, Editor of 'Cosmo Girl', Asha Philips, child psychotherapist and author of 'Saying No', and Jennie Bond join in the debate.
