Mopping up and masking odours, scrubbed and sanitised, fresh and fragranced - the feminine hygiene market perpetually bombards women with promises to give them all day freshness, dryness and confidence.

Despite Britain having the smallest market in Europe for Panty Liners, the number of women buying them is growing. Now there's a product that can be worn throughout the month - both on period days and those in between.
But do women really need them? Do they serve simply to make women feel unclean? And what are pants for anyway?
Nicola Norton, freelance writer for The Guardian and Sunday Mirror, and Martin Hodson, Marketing Director of Bodyform, join in the discussion.
