A new study reveals how cancer care is failing the disadvantaged.
Inequalities of Cancer Care commissioned by Macmillan Cancer Relief describes how fear of cancer, a tangle of bureaucracy and a failure to receive appropriate benefits, are leading to delays in the diagnosis amongst poorer groups.
Jenni is joined by Professor Michel Coleman of the London School of Tropical Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, who led the team who carried out the research, and Sheila Keatley who runs the Cancer Support Centre in Liverpool and who has had the disease herself.
