Up to 80% of pregnant women are affected by morning sickness.
The cause is still unknown, although it is widely thought to be related to changes in hormone levels, and there are few effective cures.
However the Andover Birth Centre in Hampshire is conducting a study into a new treatment which is so far claiming a 90% success rate.
Initially developed to combat travel sickness, the makers of Morningwell decided to test it further when they were contacted by pregnant women who believed it had worked for them.
Annette Rizzo visited the Centre to speak to some of the mums, who feel they might have found an alternative to dry toast and ginger biscuits ...
