Ìý Larry Hagman Tuesday 30 October 2001 Ìý
Larry Hagman reached the height of his fame as JR Ewing - the cruel husband and ruthless oil baron of the 80s soap Dallas.

In his new autobiography Hello Darlin', he reveals how he likes to live life on the edge.
At one point his drinking was so heavy that he had to have a liver transplant, and he tried tackling his addiction to slimming pills by taking LSD.
Now aged 70, he's known to his friends at the mad monk of Malibu where he roars around on a Harley Davidson - whilst wearing a chicken suit.
Hello Darlin' - Tall (and Absolutely True) Tales About My Life (Simon & Schuster, ISBN: 0743207351, £17.99).
