Annie is 51, but after a recent scan to detect signs of osteoporosis she was shocked to be told she had the bones of a 71 year old.
In fact Annie's bone density is normal for a woman of her age.
This week the National Osteoporosis Society is warning women to beware of companies offering an ultrasound scan to test bone density when they have neither the appropriate equipment nor the expertise to diagnose the disease.
