Cosmo at 30 Monday 18 February 2002
Cosmopolitan
Cosmopolitan Magazine arrived in the UK 30 years ago in March. On its first day of publication, it sold almost half a million copies. At the time, American feminist, Betty Friedan called it 'quite obscene' and both men and women have held a variety of opinions about it ever since.

It's New York editor, Helen Gurley Brown, came to Britain to oversee the launch. She's back again to talk to Jenni about 'Cosmo Girl'. They're joined by current editor, Lorraine Candy and Cassandra Jardine, Cosmopolitan writer from the 1970s. Together they mull over Cosmo's legacy.
