Monogamy Tuesday 16 April 2002
In the 1970s, feminists began to challenge the idea of monogamy. They argued that it subordinated women and reduced them to property. Alternative kinds of relationship, they said, could be just as fulfilling.

Nowadays, emphasis is put on mending long-term relationships. So do we really all believe now in the importance of that one special person in our lives?
Professor Sue Scott and novelist Yvonne Roberts join Jenni to discuss whether monogamy is the satisfying relationship to which we should aspire.
