Self Harm Thursday 23 May 2002
According to the Samaritans, three teenagers self harm themselves every hour, and at greatest risk are girls between the ages of 15 and 19.

This form of self abuse can consist of cutting, burning and taking an overdose. Experts suggest that it's caused by stress and feelings of self-hatred.
But why is it that women should feel the need to for alleviation in this way? Sheila talks to Katy Foulser from the National Self Harm Alliance and Jeannie Milligan from The Tavistock Clinic.
