Aminatta Forna Thursday 23 May 2002
The recent elections in Sierra Leone have, hopefully, heralded a happier stage in the country's existence. However, 25 years ago, Aminatta Forna's father was executed there on false charges of treason.

In her new book, The Devil That Danced on Water, Aminatta tries to make sense of her father's life and death and tells how she confronted some of those people implicated in his killing.
Aminatta Forna talks to Sheila about her childhood in the troubled country.
The Devil That Danced on the Water: A Daughter's Memoir by Aminatta Forna, HarperCollins, 拢17.99
