Accepting Infertility Monday 1 July 2002
Once upon a time every little girl expected to grow up, get married and have children. But for thousands of women and men parenthood remains elusive. Today, despite the growth in IVF and other forms of infertility treatment, about one in ten couples are involuntarily childless.

Nutritionist Jane Nodder was to try three IVF attempts, before having to accept her infertility. For Meredith Wheeler, a therapist who runs workshops on infertility, the decision not to pursue IVF herself was influenced by a number of factors.
