Ellen MacArthur
Early last year a 24 year old English woman completed the Vendee Globe Single-handed Round the World Yacht Race, one of the most gruelling non-stop sailing races. The world looked on in awe as the youngest and, at 5'2" the smallest competitor was thrown about by 10 metre waves whilst suspended from her mast and as she negotiated her way through icebergs the size of small islands.

Battered, bruised and exhausted, she returned 26,000 miles later to a hero's welcome.
Ellen MacArthur has now written her autobiography and joins Jenni to talk about those tumultuous 3 and half months at sea and just exactly what made her do it.
Ellen MacArthur, Taking on the World published by Penguin, 拢17.99 ISBN: 0-718-14525-9
