Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Friday 18 October 2002
When you hear about obsessive compulsive disorder, the image is of someone constantly washing their hands or unable to leave the house because of acute anxieties. What you may not realise is that OCD can start at quite a young age.

Jilly is 21. She was diagnosed with OCD at the age of 14 and talks about what it is like to live with the condition.
Dr Isobel Heyman, consultant child psychiatrist at the Maudsley Hospital in London talks to Martha about her work at the only national specialist clinic for young people with OCD, which she founded and continues to run.
Working together to Promote Recovery - 2002 OCD and BDD Conference, Saturday 19 October, Imperial College, London.
For further details of the conference or information on OCD and related disorders, see Useful Links. Or you can contact the No Panic office on 01952 590005 or the Obsessive Action office on 0207 226 4000.
