Studies of cats, 1994
Elizabeth Blackadder is best known for her sumptuous flower paintings, snoozing cats, Venetian architecture and exquisite trinkets from exotic places.

Last year she became the first woman in its 300 year history of the office to be made Her Majesty's painter and limner in Scotland. She tells Jenni just what that might entail.
New Work by Elizabeth Blackadder is on display at Browse and Darby, 19 Cork Street, London, W1 from 27 November 2002 to 20 December 2002. Admission is free.
