Zaiba Malik Tuesday 17 December 2002
Zaiba Malik is 33 and an award-winning journalist with Channel Four news. She has worked on Unreported Britain for Channel Four and the 大象传媒's Panorama.

It was while working on a documentary on Bangladeshi politics, specifically the issue of changing Islamic identity there, that she was detained along with her cameraman, Bruno Sorrentino, Saleem Samad her Bangladeshi 'fixer' and her interpretor Priscilla Raz, on suspicion of anti-state activities.
Malik and Sorrentino were eventually released on Dec 12th, after 2 1/2 weeks in captivity under constant interrogation, and immediately deported. Unfortunately Raz and Samad are still in custody.
Zaiba Malik joins Jenni to tell of her relief at returning home and what it was like inside the Dhaka women's jail.
