image: a vampyre and his female victim
It's thirty years since Anne Rice penned Interview with a Vampire, but when it was published in 1976 it sparked a revival of 'Vampire Literature'.

Also, Buffy the Vampire Slayer is about to start its 7th season on Sky TV, with its spin-off Angel - about a handsome, brooding vampire - going strong in its 4th. The darkly elegant and rakish creatures of the night have always held a fascination - so why do women find vampires so sexy?
It's all in the bite apparently - Vampire Expert Dr Tina Rath and Rosie Lagosie, Manchester's 'Vampire Queen' join Jenni to discuss the popularity of these creatures in print, film & TV.
