Jessica Ogden Saturday 22 February 2003
Design by Jessica Ogden
We are used to the idea of distressing clothes, deliberately ageing them to avoid the box fresh look. But fashion designer Jessica Ogden takes that idea to extremes - fading, tearing, burning and crushing fabrics - then patching and darning them. Her clothes - featuring old prints which she collects - sell all over the world.

The Jamaican born designer showed her collection at London Fashion Week on Sunday not on a catwalk but in a Georgian house by candlelight to add period atmosphere.
Jessica brought in some of her designs and told Martha why she loves working with old fabrics
