Less than ten years ago, Monica Young struggled to make a living as a potter in the Yorkshire Dales. Now her giant coiled pots are snapped up as quickly as she can make them and last year she won the gold medal at the International Craft Exhibition in Munich. They've become collectors items which sell for thousands of pounds and stand in Embassies across the world from Tokyo to New York.
Success has come late for Monica - who was born in France 74 years ago. Jill Hopkins went to meet her at her studio in Reeth, North Yorkshire.
