Multicultural Cookery Friday 14 March 2003
When you think of Indian food, could you discriminate between the different regional dishes - between the rich buttery sauces of the Punjab or the coastal delicacies of Kerala..?

One region of India that most of us I suspect are ignorant of is the North East state of Arunachal Pradesh which used to be known as Assam.
Food writer and restauranteur Mridula Baljekar comes from the region which borders on China, Thailand and Burma and she showed Simon Parkes one of her favourite dishes from home - fish curry.
Mridula's 'Arunachal Fish Curry' recipe
From the book 'Fat Free Indian Cookery' by Mridula Maljekar, published by Metro Books; ISBN: 1-84358-001-2
