Ìý Dame Thora Hird Monday 17 March 2003 Ìý
The weekend brought the sad news of the death of Dame Thora Hird aged 91.

Dame Thora was a regular guest on Woman's Hour. The last time she appeared on the programme, in April 2000, she talked to Martha about the third volume of her autobiography and how she drew from her husband's illness for her role in Lost for Words by Derek Longden, the story of the last months of a woman's life following a stroke.
Nothing Like A Dame, by Thora Hird, Published 1 Oct 2001 by Zondervan, ISBN: 0007107668
