Antenatal Screening for Down's Syndrome Monday 16 June 2003
A comprehensive research project just published has shown that the so called 'integrated' test for Downs syndrome is considerably safer and more effective than the screening tests most women are currently offered during pregnancy.

National Guidance on Down's screening is due to be issued shortly, but what should it be recommending, and what exactly do parents want from the screening process?
Dr Muir Gray, programme director of the UK National Screening Committee and Jane Fisher from ARC (Antenatal Results and Choices) join Jenni to discuss the implications for women.
