Lord Longford famously described himself as the outcasts' outcast and a trust set up in his name honours those who are carrying on his work.
This year the Longford Trust is awarding an extraordinary woman the prize. Shirl Marshall works with sex offenders. Not only does she befriend them and their families but she also invites them to come and stay in her home.
So what makes her support one of the most reviled sectors of society?
Shirl Marshall joins Jenni to explain how and why she got started in this charitable work.
