Refugee Women A Woman's Place is in the Home may seem like an outdated saying from a Victorian sampler, but A Woman's Place is the name chosen for a powerful new multimedia drama based on the experiences of the women who perform it. And because they are all refugees who have lost their homes in their own countries and have been forced to make new lives and find new homes in this country, they give new relevance to the words.
The three performers worked collaboratively to devise the show under the leadership of Sarah Sanson and Louise Keyworth of Pillion Productions. Ju di Herman went to see the show and afterwards she met the three women who tell their stories so movingly in it. A Woman's Place, will be performed at Hoxton Hall, 130 Hoxton St, London N1 6SH on Thursday 17 & Friday 18 July at 8pm. Tickets are 拢6 (拢3 concessions) and there is a 24 hour ticket line on 08700 600100. Tickets can also be reserved on 020 7739 5431
