Caesareans Friday 14 November 2003
The national standards body NICE wants to regulate the policy on caesareans. Their guidelines suggest that a request from the mother is not enough to ensure a caesarean.

So why do women want caesareans on demand. Are they really all too posh to push or is it fear of childbirth?
Maggie Blott, Consultant Obstetrician at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle and Annie Francis from the Independent Midwives Association join Martha to discuss.
