Breast Cancer Screening Thursday 12 February 2004
Last month on Woman's Hour we discussed whether women should be screened for breast cancer earlier starting at the age of forty.

Professor Michael Baum has since published an article challenging the efficacy of screening, stating that women are not being made aware of screening's downsides.

Michael Baum, Emeritus Professor of Surgery and Visiting Professor of Medical Humanities, University College London and Nigel Bundred, Professor in Surgical Oncology with the University of Manchester join Jenni to evaluate the pros and cons of screening and ask should the government be investing more or less in the national programme.
