Literacy Project 17听Mar 2004
When more than 80% of children in a school speak English as their second language the mandatory literacy hour can be far from simple.

Thirty languages are spoken at South Harringay Infants' School in North London. But the school is taking part in a new form of literacy project. It uses Indian Narrative Dance to improve reading and writing.

Judi Herman went to a rehearsal to talk to the Deputy Head Liz Nairn and the artistic Director of the Beeja Dance Company, Anusha Subramanyam.
