Women with epilepsy - new drug guidelines 07听Apr 2004
The National Institute for Clinical Excellence recently published new guidelines on drugs for epilepsy. They give the green light to the newer anti-epileptic drugs, and also warn that some older drugs may be unsuitable for women of childbearing age.

Women with epilepsy who are planning to start a family now face a difficult dilemma. Kerry Hurley, who has epilepsy, talks about the difficult choices she faced when she wanted to have a baby.

And Jenni is joined by Hannah Cock, Neurologist and Epilepsy Specialist at St George's Medical School in London and Sharon Hudson from Epilepsy Action to discuss the options open to women with epilepsy.
