How important is it for听us to choose where we die?
64% of us would choose to die at home and yet only 25% of people actually do.听 Is the system failing us?
Sarah Woolman speaks to Gill and Peter West. Gill has cancer and wants to die at home with support from the Ian Rennie Hopsice at Home. Their nurse is Maureen Briant.
And Jane Milligan's mother, Paddy, died at home when Jane was only 11 and she was with her father, Spike Milligan, when he died at home 2 years ago. She joins Jenni along with听Baroness Finlay,听 Professor in Palliative Care at the University of Wales to discuss why so few of us able to die at home, even though we may prefer it to hopital or hospice.
