June is the highest ranking woman in the Church of England.

On 1st May,ÌýÌýshe will beÌýinstalled as the new Dean of Salisbury Cathedral - the first woman to hold the post inÌýthe Cathedral'sÌý784 year history.ÌýÌýAsÌýDeanÌýshe is the highest ranking woman in the Church of England -ÌýandÌýshe isÌýalreadyÌýtipped as the first female bishop.

SheÌýis one of the original thirty-two women ordained as priests in 1994.Ìý SheÌýis also the author of a church document on homosexuality - reported to be so radical it had to be shelved.Ìý
