This week the National Institute for Clinical Excellence publish new guidelinesÌýin an attempt to reduce the rate of births by caesarean.

Birth pioneer Michel Odent is famed for water births and his new book predicts that the caesarean augurs long term societal problems. Dr Pam Loughna, consultant obstetrician at City Hospital, NottinghamÌýis sceptical about his fears. They join Jenni to discuss the issues.
