Can slowing down labour reduce caesarians?

New research from Liverpool University suggests labour is often too rushed.ÌýThey say that giving the womb a rest during childbirth may help to reduce the need for emergency caesareans.

Jo SweeneyÌýhad an emergency caesarean. She tells Jenni why she thinks it was was unnecessary. Jenni also talks to Siobhan Quenby, consultant obstetrician at the Liverpool Women's Hospital in Manchester and to Dr Mike Robson, consultant obstetricianÌýfrom Wycombe Hospital.Ìý
