Are they turning childhood into a problem?
Self-help books are hugely popular with adults, and now they're available for children too. Whether it's low self esteem, lack of self control, the ability to relax or curbing obsessive or angry feelings, the new wave of children's self-help manuals offer advice and suggest solutions. 听But are they a good idea?
Are these books a useful tool or are they suggesting听to children听that the normal听rites of childhood are a problem? Woman's Hour discusses the issues.
