A Woman's Hour special programme on death

As a nation, are we too squeamish when it comes to talking about death? How do we cope with premature death and whose funeral is it anyway? Should it reflect the tastes of the deceased or those left behind?

The panel of guests addressing these issues are the Right Reverend Elizabeth Stuart, Professor in Christian theology at University College, Winchester, psychologist Dipti Thakker,听Tony Walter, reader in sociology at University of Reading and Lindsay Nicholson, Editor of Good Housekeeping听magazine.

We will be returning to the subject of death for a phone-in on Wednesday 28 July. If you would like to take part or simply have a strong view on any of the subjects covered in today's special programme, then we'd like to hear from you.
