Are we considerate enough to pregnant women? 13听October听2004
Should we treat pregnant women like the elderly or disabled? Or, if they鈥檙e fit enough to go to work, are they fit enough to stand?

Janice Norman lost her baby soon after birth following听an accident on a crowded train. She听has teamed up with her local MP, Tom Brake to appeal to commuters to be more considerate. 听

Do you always give up your seat for a pregnant woman? Or do you worry she might be insulted? Should we be more considerate to pregnant women, or do others need our compassion more? We try to disentangle the mess of modern manners.

Jenni is joined by Julie Bindel,听is the founder of Justice for Women and a campaigning journalist, who believes having children is a choice and women should live with all that entails; and Anne Atkins, writer and parent, who thinks there isn't enough consideration for mothers and children.听
