Suzanne Boardman 16听October听2004
Zoologist and founder of The Wildlife Information Network

Over the last couple of days international animal and wildlife experts have been gathering in London to talk about... computers.

The last few decades has seen our knowledge about animals, their habitats, their care and conservation grow by leaps and bounds. From Beijing to London, from Nairobi to Washington, experts have amassed an incredible amount of knowledge on subjects as diverse as how to care for a wounded hedgehog, what do you do with a lame rhino in the wild or how to know when your tiger has a cold.

The problem, up to now, has been how they share their knowledge and experience with each other. Suzanne Boardman is a veterinarian, zoologist and one of the founders of the Wildlife Information Network.听She tells Martha why听she is听concentrating on talking "about" rather than "to" the animals.

The First International Summit Meeting for Conservation Database Development took place 14-15 October 2004听at Canary Wharf London.
