a newÌýtherapyÌýto helpÌýstressed children
When you're stressed there's nothing like a good massage, some soothing music and a glass of wine. But when children show signs of stress such asÌýbehaving badly and disrupting their school mates the most likely outcome is a good telling off.
The Cheiron Trust has come up with a new approach, working with schools around the country to set up 'quiet places'. These areÌýspecially designed areas where children, teachers and parents can go to practice relaxation techniques under the guidance of a specially trained therapist. Every term children are nominated for an intensive six week therapy course.
Caroline Swinburne goes to Purley Oaks Primary School in Croydon to find out more from therapist Tara Green.
