Atrocities against women in Guatamala

Every day in Guatemala at least one woman is murdered often after being mutilated, raped and tortured. But their killers are rarely brought to justice. Now journalist and social documentary photographer Carlos Reyes-Manzo has travelled in Guatemala and Mexico documenting the situation, and 40 of his black and white photos are being shown in an exhibition called Impunity.Ìý

Martha is Ìýjoined by the photographer, and also by Laura Fine from Amnesty International to discuss the situation in Guatemala, why it is happening and what can be done about it.

Impunity exhibition: 16 February-5 March 2006, 11am-6pm daily, Oxo Tower Wharf, Bargehouse Street, South Bank, London SE1 Information 020 7401 2255
