She was 89 and had been in declining health for 12 years. His father had also died from dementia, in what Tony Robinson describes as a ‘slide into hell’ over a ten year period.The experience of caring for his mother made Tony Robinson determined to expose what he believes is a general disregard, lack of care, and paucity of services for elderly people.As part of our month long series on the future of care, how it will be funded and who will pay for it, Tony Robinson talked to Will Yates about what happened to his Mum.
