Abstract
This document follows on from 大象传媒 White Paper 337, which discussed configuration of TLS for the AMWA NMOS APIs IS-04, IS-05 and IS-06. This document goes on to discuss the public key infrastructure that is required to operate TLS in a broadcast production environment, including issues around bootstrapping trust, certificate deployment and certificate revocation.
It also discusses the issues presented by operating TLS on a local network, as distinct from the Internet, and presents possible solutions to these problems.
