Radio Luxembourg :: 31/01/08 :: 1845

Cuiridh sinn geall gu bheil sibh a' faighneachd, 鈥淩adio c貌?鈥 an-dr脿sta. Uill, tha sinn cinnteach gum bi sibh ag innse dhan h-uile duine a dh'猫isteas mun cheathrar a tha seo 脿s a' Chuimrigh as d猫idh dhuibh am faicinn. 鈥楽 ann 脿 Aberystwyth, taobh an iar na d霉thcha a tha iad, agus th脿inig iad c貌mhla bho chionn tr矛 bliadhna. Tha iad air a bhith a' faighinn sti霉ireadh 鈥榮 cuideachadh bho Euros Childs, fear gu math ainmeil, a bh' anns a' ch貌mhlan Gorky's Zygotic Mynci. An d猫idh cli霉 a thogail dhaibh fh猫in anns a' Chuimrigh, tha an ce貌l aca a-nis a' glacadh aire dhaoine anns an fharsaingeachd.

Chan eil sian as fhe脿rr le Radio Luxembourg na bhith a' cluich be貌 - agus thadhal iad air iomadach 脿rd-霉rlar an-uiridh, Glastonbury nam measg, agus tha iad an c貌mhnaidh rim faicinn aig an fh猫is chi霉il Cuimris 鈥淓istedfodd鈥. Tha e follaiseach nach eil a bhith seinn anns a' ch脿nan aca fh猫in gan cumail air ais ann an d貌igh sam bith. 'S e an comhairle a bheireadh iad do dhuine sam bith a bha den bheachd 貌rain a sgr矛obhadh sa Gh脿idhlig, no c脿nan sam bith eile, ...na smaoinich cus mu dheidhinn, d矛reach thalla 鈥榮 d猫an e!

Radio Luxembourg

There is a good chance that you are scratching your head and asking "Radio who??" but I'm sure that you will be telling anyone who will listen about this 4 piece from Wales after seeing them! Originally from Aberystwyth, they formed just over 3 years ago. They have been mentored by Euros Childs, who made a name for himself on the Welsh music scene and further afield, from his time in the band Gorky's Zygotic Mynci. Radio Luxembourg have also managed to follow in Gorky's footsteps and established themselves as one of the most popular new bands in their home country and secured airplay on both radio and TV and they are now being picked up by national radio stations. Playing live means everything to the band and they were busy lasy year playing festivals such as Glastonbury and Eistedfood, the National Welsh Fesitval, where they have become a regular sight over the years. It is obvious that singing in their native tongue has not held them back in any way and the advice they would give to anyone considering writing songs in Gaelic, or any other language for that matter? Don't think about it...just do it!
