Dr Tom Honeyman's letter to Salvador Dali
From Scotland's favourite painting: Dali's Christ of St John of the Cross
![My Dear Salvador Dali, Your note was awaiting me on my return to the office. All summer I have resisted any attempts to write you because I knew you were working. Now I know of Monseiur Ambroise Plaqueyent's visit and shall be delighted to render him every facility for whatever plans he has. We have had a florious summer with your picture. Visitors and discussions still continue and I have come triumphantly through several battles, enjoying all of them. I was hoping to have seen our mutual friend Georges Keller before his return to America. What chances are there for a visit from you before you cross the Atlantic. If it is not possible I must arrange to meet you in America for which I am trying to make some arrangements. With warm greetings to Gala and yourself. I am, Yours ever sincerely,](/staticarchive/f903b446c47ccf5508a56ef1de5fadf91f33b698.jpg)
