is a weekend market located in the east end of Glasgow. It has been a hub of street entertainment, characters, talent and success since its opening in the 1920s. Five stall traders working at The Barras in 2011 tell their stories in their own words. Meet Juan, recycler and re-inventor of household products; Tam, antiques dealer and self-proclaimed 'midden raker' (one who searches waste-heaps for rags or refuse); Greg, keen cyclist and recycler of old bicycles; Jimmy, bike and bric-a-brac dealer; and John, guitar and gun collector who has visited and traded at The Barras for 64 years.
