Jumping on the bandwagon

Cat blogs. Not really my cup o tea, FC excepted, of course. However, my cat Chibley has been on an adventure recently, and he deserves a blog to himself.

Basically the adventure is something only he can tell you about, but as he so far has not shown FC's capability with our language it will remain a mystery to us all. Apart from saying that the adventure lasted about 3 weeks and we saw nothing of him during that time, and, in fact, had thought he was lying in a frozen lump on a hill somewhere on Unst.

I had actually been trying to rehome him at the time, and when the Cat Protection League phoned me I had to say, 'Yes, please keep him on your list, but at the moment I don't know if he is alive or not.'

Anyway, I was hanging oot my washing on Tuesday and he walked across the garden to see me as if nothing had happened. So, I will now continue to look for a suitable new home for him, and in case you are looking for a cat yourself, here are a couple of photos.

Oh no, not you too, where will this all end. I have this horrible vision, in my head, of a certain cat, sitting smugly on that bookshelf, that it is so fond of.

This really has been a day for catblogs. Even crusty calumannabel in his footie socks and Caterpillar slingbacks has given in to public opinion. It's been just about the best day of my liff! And now....well just look at the Vicar of Chibley, did you ever see a happier more contented kitty? And to think he is looking for a new home...*wee sob* Hang in there Chibs ma man, don't take it purrsonally....*sniffle*.

he is lovely!! why don't you keep him?

Not a bad looking cat at all, though the posture shows a lack of modesty, perhaps. Anyway, does the colorful pad come with the cat, and would it be alright to keep the duvet and throw the cat in the deep blue somewhere between Lerwick and Kirkwall? (of course, with both blessings and the admonition to paddle like h*ll?!).

What a glorious and very uninhibited boy he is ...! What beautiful white socks, nose and tum ... ! Methinks perhaps he had been out roistering, on the tiles perhaps ... Sharpening up his masculine whiles ... Tummy-rubs galore ...!!

Soaplady from you can't ever have enough cats ...

Achoo! Achoo! Achoo! What a nice cat though!

mmmmmmm tummyrubs.....can't get enough of 'em. Nice Soaplady. Nasty mjc. *huff* Poor Herman, and I thought you didn't like us, and all the time it was a nast allergy. *prrr*

mjc-Chibley is lying on one o my bairns sleeping bags, which he finds very cosy. Carol-Chibley is a lovely cat but I go away for long periods of time to visit min kj忙reste in Norge, so he needs to be re-homed. We will miss him! And Soaplady, yes, he has memories of masculine wiles, but they got left in Scallowa at the vets some time ago.

So - no takers then? Chibley's self-esteem is taking a battering here.

Suggest you contact Moo in the Night through her blog. One more or one fewer cat should not make much difference. You could tout Chibley's legendary hunting skills.

Chib looks like an only cat to me and they don't take kindly to being thrown in with all and sundry without so much as a by your leave. Honestly! Some bipeds!

Hey Chibs! How's it going? You're a real good looking fellow. Take care & smooth sailing. Yr Friend, Miss Chibley

Miss Chibley - you are famous in my hoose. Chibley #2 was named after you. I would come and visit you on board if I could afford the cost of a round the world trip!
