How will I celebrate? Vertical for a while then horizontal.

The above entry would appear to suggest a level of revelry not associated with an old Calvinist like me. Of course I shall be sober and horizontal until I go skinny diiping at Port of Ness on New Year's morning when of course I shall be horizontal in the Atlantic. Donald is bringing his new canoe and Chrissie Mary will be in knitted vest and thong.

Parental units went down to Stromness Pierhead before midnight to hear the RBL pipe band, saw the bells in with a happy crowd of all ages (it was more the hooter on the mv Hamnavoe but same effect) and then first-footed until 4am. At one house. And drank all someone's HP. Tut!
