Director: Jugal Hansraj
Cast: Javed Jaffery, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan
Yash Raj Films have joined forces with the likes of Walt Disney Studios to produce India's first state of the art computer animated feature film.
This movie will include music, dances, songs and romance just like any other Bollywood film.
Titled Roadside Romeo, the film's basic plot features a dog which is cared for by a filthy rich family.
Pampered and spoilt, the dog gets abandoned by its owner on the mean streets of Mumbai.
The film shows how it overcomes life's most dangerous situations for the first time in its life.
From mansions to streets, from five course meals to five courses of scraps, from soft beds to piles of garbage, from champagne to tap water, the adventure begins for Romeo in this Hindi animated film - the first of its kind in Bollywood.
Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Javed Jaafary will be lending their voices to animated characters for the first time in their careers.
Roadside Romeo has been written and directed by debutante Jugal Hansraj, who has featured in films like Mohabbatein (2000), Salaam Namaste (2005) and the recently released Aaja Nachle (2007).
Produced by Aditya Chopra, Roadside Romeo is said to release in summer 2008 in cinemas across the UK.
Teaser trailers on this feature are already being screened with current Bollywood releases in cinemas.
So get ready to hop on to this Yash Raj adventure as Romeo turns into Roadside Romeo!
