While Salma describes herself as an English Musluim, Jason comes from the heart of Zimbabwe.听 Before the couple got married, Jason had to convert to Islam. Jason admits that he didn't know what to expect from the Muslim wedding.

The couple's first wedding was small affair with close family at Wellington registry office. Meanwhile the second was a huge, colourful event with over 400 guests and packed with Muslim traditions.
