Chandni (Eesha Koppikhar) belongs to a middle class family, who has grown up in one of the tiny side streets of old Bhopal. She lives with her father and younger siblings - Anuj and Sandhya.
Deeply attached to her younger brother and sister, Chandni is trained in classical and folk music. During a stage performance she falls in love with Prem (Sonu Sood).

Prem hails from a rich business family. He continuously annoys his mother, Sulba (Smita Jayakar),听an elegant lady and a doting mother, wanting the best for her son. She wants Prem to give up his carefree ways and focus on the family business.
She is very happy when her son becomes a successful singer. Now her only desire is to see Prem married to a girl who will be totally devoted to him and his family. She accepts Chandni with open arms.
Brij Bhushan (Alok Nath) is Chandni's father whose wife passed away leaving him to care for his three children. In charge of his business and household chores with equal ease, Mr Bhushan is a great judge of character.
He is overjoyed when Chandni decides to marry Prem. As predicted by him, Prem continues to stand by Chandni throughout her struggle.
Life is picture-perfect until, on the day of their engagement, Chandni's father passes away. Suddenly she becomes the eldest in her family. She is faced with a dilemma. On one hand, her 'mehendi' adorned hands are beckoning her to her fianc茅e's dream home. On the other, she now has to care for her younger siblings, whom she cannot take along.
Chandni decides not to marry so that she can bring up her little brother and sister. She changes from a na茂ve young girl to a woman of substance standing up against the world for her family and home.
Her father's death makes Prem realise that her siblings need her more. Prem transforms from leading an erratic lifestyle to one with a profound purpose. He understands her mission and supports her. He stands by her, through thick and thin.
Sonu Sood in Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi
He unconditionally waits for Chandni for 12 long years until she fulfills all her responsibilities as an elder sister. Truly, sometimes the greatest love stories are the ones that stand the test of time.
With years of experience in the world of television, Kaushik Ghatak makes his Bollywood debut as a director with Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi.
Produced by Rajshri Productions renowned for making the all time box office classic, Hum Aapke Hain Koun(1994), Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi also revolves around family values and traditions appealing to all! The film is released in UK cinemas by EROS International based in London.
