Buried treasure forms the focal point for this fast paced underwater thriller. Directed by Anthony D鈥橲ouza, Blue is said to be inspired by the Hollywood flicks The Deep and Jaws but has been given the Bollywood feel for Asian audiences.
Three close friends played by Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and Zayed Khan find some lost treasure during their deep sea diving expedition. But upon discovery, deceit and betrayal comes into play as each character battle to take inheritance of the loot.

Lara Dutta plays Sanjay Dutt鈥檚 love interest in the film. She had to go on a scuba diving course to prepare for her role.
Our very own British born actress Katrina Kaif is said to be the surprise package in the movie being kept a closely guarded secret until the film鈥檚 release.
The movie has been shot on location in the Bahamas where Akshay, Sanjay and Zayed swam with real sharks.
During one of the underwater shooting schedule, Akshay Kumar suffered from a small bruise when his head hit a sunken ship. The actor was safely pulled out of the water before the blood thirsty sharks could make an up close and personal visit with Akshay.
Sanjay Dutt will surprise audiences by his toned physique. He underwent a strict body building regime to achieve a leaner look.
As for the ladies, they had to look glamorous underwater by wearing special make -up provided by Hollywood artist Nikoletta Skarlatos.
On the production side, Australian singer Kylie Minogue has sung a song for this thriller. She also appeared in the music video with Akshay Kumar to promote the film further.
Slumdog Millionaire Oscar winner, A R Rahman has composed the musical score for this film. Said to be the costliest Bollywood film ever to be made, Blue's August release is eagerly awaited by Bollywood fans.
